Embed 'AVON' Videos in D2L

Use this guide to embed Academic Video Online (AVON) videos in D2L. This method allows students to view the video directly in D2L and  eliminates the need to re-authenticate to view the video. 

1. Open a content page in D2L to begin the embed process.

Option 1 - Embed a video into an existing content page/file - open the file and click Edit HTML.

Option 2 – Create a new file - click Upload/Create and Create a File in the Content section of your course.

2.  With the existing or new content page open, click the Insert Stuff icon and select Alexander Street Press from the list.

3.  Search and locate the film title (it may be helpful to have Academic Video Online(AVON) open in a separate window to get the exact film title to enter in the search.) 

  • Choose medium or large embed size (either works).

4. Click Insert

5. Enter a title and save and close.
