PennWest Clarion / Clarion University Archives

This guide serves as an introduction to the PennWest Clarion and Clarion University Archives collections and materials

Visit the Archives

The Clarion University Archives is located in room A-02 (Level A) in the Rena M. Carlson Library. However, the collections are not open to browsing. Access to the Archives is by appointment only under a closed stack policy. Archival materials do not circulate, and must be used in a designated area.

Contact the Archivist

During the academic year, appointments with the archivist , Corene Glotfelty, can be made by calling 814-393-1805 or by e-mail at cglotfelty@pennwest.edu. Appointments are not available during university break periods and over the summer. Business hours available for appointments vary by semester. Please contact the archivist to make access arrangements prior to your visit.

Archives Reference Queries

Understandably, those living at a distance may not wish or be able to travel to use the Archives' collections on-site. Requests for reference assistance and information may be submitted to the archivist. Queries of a relatively straightforward nature will be answered as time and resources permit. However, researchers with extended queries requiring significant time and research must make an appointment to use the collections on site.
