- CIOS: Open Access Journals in Communication A small variety of open access journals in communication.
- CIOS: The Electronic Journal of Communication Not a database, but an entirely electronic, peer-reviewed journal of communication.

- Google Books Search the full-text of millions of books. Use as a "discovery" tool to find books on your topic. Books in the public domain (generally, pre-1923) are available full-text.
