Use these databases to locate articles from scholarly journals, newspapers, and magazines, as well as book reviews.
- Library & Information Science Source This link opens in a new window Includes full text for more than 460 publications and indexing for hundreds of high-quality journals, as well as books, research reports and proceedings across an array of subjects, and provides comprehensive coverage of the history of library studies.
- Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts This link opens in a new window Indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. Coverage extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

- Core Collections (H.W. Wilson) This link opens in a new window Selected and recommended by collection development specialists, books within these five Core Collections encompass a wide variety of topics, including fiction, non-fiction, social sciences, science, math and reading.
- Education Source This link opens in a new window The collection provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2,850 academic periodicals and includes full text for more than 1,800 journals, 550 books and monographs, conference papers, and citations for over 4 million articles.
- Gale Literature Resource Center This link opens in a new window Find up-to-date biographies, overviews, full-text criticisms, audio interviews, and reviews on writers from all eras.
- MAS Ultra-School Edition This link opens in a new window Designed specifically for high school libraries, this database contains full text for nearly 500 popular, high school magazines, and provides access to more than 360 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, over 107,000 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 510,000 items.
- Serials Directory This link opens in a new window Provides access to the most up-to-date and accurate bibliographic information as well as current pricing structures for popular serials. This database contains nearly 250,000 U.S. and international titles
- WorldCat This link opens in a new window Bibliographic database containing millions of records from more than 60,000 libraries. Fast, one-stop searching for citations to books, media, chapters, etc., in over 400 languages. Search globally or limit to resources owned by PennWest Libraries.
- OneSearch This link opens in a new window OneSearch combines most of the library's resources into a single database. Rather than search databases separately, you can do just "one search." OneSearch includes articles, ebooks and books, and more.
